近日，美國紐約帝國摩天大廈（Empire State Building）的電梯設(shè)備正在換上最新的電梯科技。在奧的斯電梯公司的合作中，大廈的電梯換上了定制的玻璃轎廂，讓慕名而來的乘客在前往剛裝修完的第102層觀景臺(tái)時(shí)體驗(yàn)不一樣的感受。作為該建筑的原始電梯供應(yīng)商，奧的斯電梯公司開展的這次玻璃轎廂安裝工程基本稱得上是其成立166年來最大最復(fù)雜的電梯設(shè)備現(xiàn)代化工程。玻璃電梯是奧的斯Gen2?系列產(chǎn)品，不同于傳統(tǒng)的纜繩，該設(shè)備采用了鋼筋加強(qiáng)型平皮帶，在第86層和102層之間穿梭。電梯的井道壁上為乘客展示著燈光秀投影，配上同步的音軌。電梯到達(dá)頂層后，玻璃井道壁與玻璃墻內(nèi)觀察臺(tái)互為補(bǔ)充，為乘客提供了全市360度的全景景色。2011年，奧的斯電梯獲得了為垂直運(yùn)輸系統(tǒng)進(jìn)行現(xiàn)代化更新的合同，并安裝了其ReGen?再生變頻器和CompassPlus?智能調(diào)度技術(shù)。另外，奧的斯的戶外專家們還提供了24小時(shí)全天候現(xiàn)場服務(wù)，以確保該建筑每年運(yùn)載量達(dá)到1000萬人的電梯及自動(dòng)扶梯設(shè)備能夠安全順利的運(yùn)行。

OTIS MODERNIZES EMPIRE STATE ELEVATORS, ADDS GLASS CAR

NYC’s Empire State Building was recently on the receiving end of some of the latest elevator technology when Otis completed installation of a custom glass elevator to carry visitors to the iconic building’s newly renovated 102nd-floor observatory. The installation essentially completed one of the largest and most complex modernization projects Otis, the building’s original elevator supplier, has undertaken in its 166-year history. The glass elevator is an Otis Gen2? unit using steel-reinforced flat belts instead of conventional ropes. It travels from the 86th to the 102nd floor, treating passengers to a light show projected onto the hoistway wall, along with a curated soundtrack. The top landing includes glass hoistway walls that complement the glassed-in observatory, which offers 360° views of the city. In 2011, Otis won a contract to modernize the vertical-transportation system. Otis installed its ReGen? regenerative drives and CompassPlus? intelligent dispatching technology. In addition, Otis field professionals are onsite 24/7 to support the safe, smooth operation of the building’s elevators and escalators, which transport about 10 million people per year.
